3/31/2010 - The Solstice and Equinox dates are basically the 20th days of March, June, September and December give or take a day. This is a weekly chart of 10-year yields with a virtical line draw on what I believe to be the weekly bar that included the equinox or solstice date. As you can see, a trend change of some proportion and in some cases, a major high or low, has occurred within 2 weeks of this significant Astro event with great regularity since 2004 and that is only as far back as this chart goes. As you can see, in many instances the turns have occurred on the exact week. It appears that the spring equinox and the summer solstice dates are the most reliable so I have colored them red and cyan. Additionally, you can see that the last 4 spring equinox dates have produced yield troughs while the following summer solstice dates have produced yield crests. It will be interesting to see what comes from this upcomming solstice date as March 18th produced a trough at the apex of a triangle, better visible on a daily chart.
